It's been almost 3 years since my last journal update, and I think it's time I got down to the nitty gritty of actually making an update to let everyone know what's happening!

Now, I won't be going into any personal life details cause I know that no one really cares about that stuff.

You just want to know what it is I have planned for the coming weeks and months!

Alright, then let me give you the run down.

I've finaly got my affairs in order when it comes to commission details and a place for everyone to view them.

It took me a LONG-ASS time to get my act together, but I've finaly done it.

I made myself a weebly page specificaly to showcase my art and promote my commissions!

Now, some might think my prices are expensive, but to that, I say:

Too many artists under-charge for the work they put into their art, and I for one would like to see artists charge what their work is actually worth rather than charge what the buyers tell them to chargel.

Okay! So this is something I've been wanting to do for a long time, but I didn't feel like my quality of art was at a good enough point until now. Nor did I feel like I had the support structure behind me to make it happen.

I'm going to be starting some YCH auctions some time in the next month or so.

Not long ago, Tumblr went into the hands of Verizon and was totally brutalized by their terrible medling. I ended up deleting my Tumblr completely and joining a different blogging platform called Pillowfort. Pillowfort and it's system is turning out to be exactly what Tumblr should have been, so I'll be sticking with it from now on.

• Itsy Bitsy Adventures •

With Chapter 4 already 5 pages in and loads of crazy antics already going on, there's still a few things that need to be addressed. The update schedule, being every 2 weeks on a Saturday night/Sunday morning, is something that will be changing once I've returned home to Nova Scotia. What day it will land on is not yet determined, but I'll be sure to let everyone know before that's decided.
Other than that, I'm still hard at work on the comic in whatever spare time I have during the week and on weekends. Because I've been working 6 days a week and 10-14 hours a day, it's a little harder for me to find the time to work on the comic steady. But don't fret! I will never miss an update! And if I ever do miss an update, it's either cause I'm totally worn out, or I've done so much construction that my brain has turned to mush, in which case you can send all complaints about not getting anymore IBA to my inbox and I'll relay it to the appropriate parties involved in my mental demise.

But I wouldn't worry about my brain turning to mush.

Let's move on to the next topic!

Yes, I'm once again doing a bit of an overhaul on my Patreon page. But do not worry, this time it's going to be staying for a long long time. I'm planning some changes to both the goals and the rewards. and like said before, nothing will be lost as per what people get from the rewards, but some things will be modified.

I'm redoing the description as to have a read more like how I want it to read and so that it'll better catch the interest of people checking out my page. I'll also include some new graphics into the description, goals and rewards as another way to make it all look more interesting and cool!

The goals are going to be updated to suit my current status among the web with IBA. Meaning you'll see goals that have to do with the "Bonus Comics" and such along with the normal kind of goal stuff.

Over all, the majority of the Patreon page is going to change, but rewards are going to stay pretty much the same other than a few edits/additions.

• Years end End Game plans •

So I've been thinking about this allot and I've decided that at the end of the year, when I head back home to Nova Scotia, I'm going to try and get myself a business grant to start my game studio. I've wanted to have a game studio for a long time now, and I think I've learned enough to be able to start one now.

However, I'm not doing this alone. I have 5 other people that will be "employed" by my studio and will be able to help me complete some pretty important early goals to get it out of the nest and flying high.

My cohorts and I are already working on a couple projects for the studio that will probably be announced a few months after the grant has been approved and the studio is setup with an office space and all the needed equipment/hardware.
I also have a friend who's already made a successful small business, so I can also get assistance from him if I need some advice. :V

It's 2016 and I'm once again writing a new journal entry to let you all know what's going on.

Before I get into everything I'd like to thank all of my followers from DA, Tumblr, Twitter, FA and other sites, for sticking with me for all this time! It's been a long and hard road to get where I am now, and I couldn't have done it without all of your support!

So, here we go

#1 - What's up for 2016!

With 2015 over and the SUPER AWESOME way it ended, the amount of amazing stuff for 2016 is potentially off the charts! With my acceptance into the Katbox, and the opportunities that opens up for me, you may see me(or at least my artwork/comics) at more conventions in both Canada AND the US!

But there's one thing I am absolutely looking forward to. And that's the KickStarter for Itsy Bitsy Adventures Volume 2! I've been trying to get the kickstarter campaign going for the last few months, but haven't had the amount of time needed to set it all up. But with the help of some of the Katbox staff, I could get it up and running soon enough for the launch of the comic on the Katbox as well!

Which brings me to the next part of this update.

#2 - The move to Katbox!

On the 1st of November of 2015, the Katbox had an open application for new artists and writers and their comics. And as a super big fan of the Katbox and all of it's awesome comics, I finally had the opportunity to become part of the amazing group of creators. It wasn't easy to say the least. But through determination and the right attitude, I was selected to be one of the 5 new members of the Katbox. Needles to say, I nearly pooped myself when I got the email telling me this. Butt jokes aside, I was now a member, and I gained a great responsibility to uphold a steady schedule.

Moving IBA over to the Katbox is an amazing opportunity to reach a much larger audience and maybe even inspire some to push for their goals as well. And in this light, I'll also be updating my Patreon, Tumblr, Twitter and FA to reflect the new information. So expect a bunch of promo art for the Katbox and Itsy Bitsy Adventures in the next month while everything is being put together.

Now for the final bit of news.

#3 - Itsy Bitsy Adventures!

With volume 1 finished and printed, I took 2015 as an opportunity to promote and sell Itsy Bitsy Adventures to people who don't usually go online for comics. You know, the physical world, where you can hold the comic in your hands. But because of this, I had to halt work on the story itself.
Being a 1 man team is quite hard, and can bring up a bunch of unexpected challenges. But, here's the good news, with the new year, IBA is returning for volume 2 of the epic 2 volume prologue.

Itsy Bitsy Adventures: Fight the Machine!

I'm not going to say anything about what's coming in the story, but what I will tell you is that if the KickStarter does in fact succeed and I hit my first planned stretch goal, there will be a total of 4 chapters in volume 2. Bringing the total page count for volume 2 up to around 70+ pages. and a total of 122 pages for the entire FtM story arc.

So, in conclusion.

2015 is over, and a brand new year is waiting to be filled with awesome art and adventures!
Let's make 2016 the next best thing since the discovery that Betty white is older than sliced bread!

It's the last day of the year and I'm once again writing a new journal entry to let you all know what's going on.

But before we get started on those, I'd like to thank everyone who has been following me both on DA and on my Tumblr blog. You're all super awesome and I wish I could draw all kinds of amazing stuff for each of you individually, but that would take me years and I don't have that kind of time. So you're stuck with what I draw on my own. :V

Alright, here we go

#1 - Itsy Bitsy Adventures

It's been 2 years since I posted the first page of IBA, and with the comic completed, there's only one thing left to do with it. And that's get it all set up to be printed and placed in comic stores! I'm on the last step to being a full on Comic creator!

I've been talking to a printing service recently about getting IBA printed. It all got off to a rocky start, but things are sorting themselves out somewhat quickly. I do have some issues I have to fix with the files before I can send them into the printer, but they're technical problems rather than art problems.

The first run is going to be done with the variant cover of the comic. This cover is an exclusive cover for my local comic store, which will be hosting my comic launch/book signing. So if you're near or in Lower Sackville, drop by Cape & Cowl and ask Jay about that cool new upcoming comic called Itsy Bitsy Adventures! :V

#2 - Crowd funding campaigns

I'm currently revamping my Patreon to cover all of my artwork. What I'll be posting to my Patreon once it's done, is Illustrations, Comics and Music. I originally planned to make my Patreon cover all my artwork, but was way too focused on Itsy Bitsy Adventures to make it worth putting it all in at the time.

Pretty soon, I'll be opening an IndieGoGo campaign for Itsy Bitsy Adventures. This campaign is going to be used to cover the costs of printing and also to give something extra to the comic store which is helping me launch it. I'll have more info on that in it's own unique post.

Now that the first Itsy Bitsy Adventures book is done, I have a little more time to work on other projects of mine, including my music album and ask blogs, which I've so horribly neglected over the past 2 years. So expect to see more art and music coming from me over the next few months, as I push to finish my album and bring my blogs back from hibernation.

#3 - Steam games and future raffles

I know you all love getting free stuff, So I've decided that I will be setting up some raffles every now and then. Just to give a little bit extra back to my fan base. All patrons will be entered automatically, but non patrons will have to toss a dollar or two into the pot to be entered.

I'll be fleshing out the plan in more detail as soon as the Patreon page is reworked.

#4 - A whole new world of music

 As you may not know, a few months back I made all of my music, except for my newest WIP album, completely pay-what-you-want. This means that if you can't afford it, you can still download it. But if you feel like it, you can throw a few bucks my way to help support my efforts.

As for my current WIP Album, It is still quite a ways off. probably by a few months. But I do plan to have it released early to mid next 2015. So if you love chiptune and love to listen to albums that contain 25+ interconnected songs telling an awesome story, then you'll want to keep your ears on my bandcamp.

#5 - Something extra

Oh yeah, and I'm also planning to bring back the ask blog that got me into this whole DA and Tumblr mess in the first place. If you guys remember Ask Heart Lift, (yeah, the one with the pink and blue pony.) then you'll be pleasantly surprised at the fact I am going to be bringing her blog back to life in the next few months.

I won't be going full force with it though, since that is pretty much what killed my enthusiasm for it the first couple times. Instead, I'll be working on updates as I would pages of my comic. Asks and interactions will still play a big roll in the blog, but I will also be implementing a lot of internal character interaction as a way to keep the blog active and updates coming.
